***Annual Fundraising Breakfast Postponed***
Out of an abundance of caution, the Emergency Support Shelter board of directors has decided to postpone our Annual Fundraising Breakfast that was scheduled for March 25th.
While the COVID-19 virus has not been identified in Cowlitz County, we recognize that postponing our event that is attended by over 350 people, is the best way to support the prevention steps recommended to help keep it that way. At the end of the day the well-being of our community and our supporters is of utmost priority.
We recognize that many people have already helped us by sponsoring, planning and preparing for this event. We are grateful for the support of all who believe in our mission and our work. Our intent at this time is to hold our event as planned, just at a later date. This is a postponement, not a cancellation. Tentatively, we are looking at the end of May. We will send updates as we learn more.
There is much uncertainty during this time, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support. Right now, we are focusing our efforts to keeping our facilities virus-free, or at worst virus-ready, so that victims of domestic violence and crime continue to have a safe refuge for support.
If anyone would like to help support our work right now, donations can be made through PayPal by clicking the donate button under our mission statement below.
Again, thank you for your support and understanding.
Be safe, our friends. Emergency Support Shelter Board of Directors
